In the winter of 1991, kids from the east and midwest descended on the mountains of Colorado, bringing with them theier skate-focused style of riding. A powerful shift in snowboarding set in motion. Stumps, downed trees, natural features in the environment had all previously been irrelevant. Now, they were sought out and the "jib" era of riding was born. Snowboarding's identity began taking shape. Joyride was one of the first to bring a true twin-shape board to the snow with iconic flower pot.
